"A mix of old and new and something in-between."

This is a semi-commercial and residential street in central Footscray. The houses are mainly blocks of approx. 250 sq. metres and are either period weatherboard or late 60's/early 70's brick veneer. There used to be a great local pub here but it has gone the way of the dodo and now it is proposed townhouses.

The northern end of the street fronts onto the Princes Hwy and can sometimes become a bit of a rat-run during peak periods. The southern end is a dead-end which fronts onto the main freight and suburban railway line, this can also be unpleasant during peak periods.

Overall it is a great location which is close to all public transport, shopping centres and every other facility you could wish for. It is also just around the corner from the buzzing Seddon shopping strip which has just undergone massive gentrification. In particular the strongest draw factor is the restaurants which other a dizzying array of food choices unheard of in more affluent suburbs.
