Reviews of Ascot, QLD

"Not for us."

Cons:
Roads are a pain - narrow. Just yesterday I saw two drivers get into a blue because the streets are too narrow and each found it difficult to pass.
Nearby roadworks causing traffic issues. Congestion, noise.
Too humid.

Pros:
Gorgeous houses.
Prestigious.
Close to city.
Cafes/restaurants.
Hamilton library nearby.
Leafy.

"A Fantastic Place to Live"

As an Ascot resident for the past 26 years, I love our suburb. My children have grown up here attending Ascot State School and the sense of community and support are second to none. Something as simple as going for a walk in the morning or dropping in for a coffee at many of the local cafes and knowing the people who you run into, makes for a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Selling Residential Real Estate for Place Ascot for the past 15 years, and living and socialising in the suburb, I might be a bit biased, but Ascot really is "The Village".

"Family Living at its Best!"

Characterised by tree-lined streets, Ascot is regarded as one of Brisbane's exclusive suburbs located about 6 kilometres north-east of the CBD. Ascot features some of Brisbanes most prestigious homes, from Queenslanders on a grand scale and proportions to stunning architect-designed homes. Property values are consistent and rank amongst the highest in Queensland.
Ascot is considered as a family-oriented suburb with a number of well-regarded private schools close-by. The ever popular Racecourse Road stems from Eagle Farm Racecourse to the Brisbane River and boasts a lively social scene, with an abundance of cafes, restaurants and boutique shops.
Undoubtedly one of Ascots most popular attractions is Doomben and Eagle Farm Racecourses and come race day Racecourse Road prescient comes alive. In addition Racecourse Road holds an annual Winter Carnival in June.
With easy access to the city, airport and excellent local amenities and infrastructure, Ascot has to be one of the most desirable places to call home.

Great for

  • Restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping
  • Winter & Spring Racing Carnivals
  • Well-renowned Private and State Schools

Not great for

  • Kingsford Smith Drive carries a little traffic and requires updating
