Reviews of Barombah Road, Epping
"Quiet, sparsley populated street with a strong neighbourhood feel."
There are only 8 or 9 houses on this street, all but one of them are owner occupied (the other is renting) and hence we have all known each other for years. Very very green and clean, about 15-20 minutes walk to Epping station (we walk to the station at 7.45 every morning to get to work). Very safe and quiet.
The M2 motorway looks very close to the street on a map but you hardly even hear it in reality (you cant even see the barrier walls through all the dense bush). Infact you can hear the M2 alot louder on Dunmore rd, Romford rd and Kandy av even though they are further from the motorway (perhaps the latter mensioned streets are higher than the sound barrier wall hence it is noisier?).
Overall a great street to live on, probably gets about 1 car and hour driving down the road on weekends, comfortable walk to Epping station and a very strong community feel. We have been here for more than 10 years now and this has to be one of the best streets I have ever lived on (Have lived in Turramurra, Marsfield and then here in Epping).
EDIT: I must add that Turramurra was lovely, however, proximity to the CBD and great transport links made Epping more suited to my lifestyle.
