Reviews of Boulder, WA

"What they won't tell you !"

Boulder is often considered the poor cousin of Kalgoorlie, often due to outdated socio-economic ideas of pre-1990s. But they won't tell you it is better than that! NBN, good mobile coverage , 7 day trading shops, 7 day Medical facility, schools, great parks, cafes, restaurants and quality bars and friendly neighbourhoods. Some gorgeous heritage homes and buildings from the early 1900s, as well as a range of properties through to new builds. Often overlooked, this suburb is within 10 minutes drive of everything in town with a bonus of housing prices being much lower than comparable suburbs further north, with the same chance if having either a business owner or public housing nearby. There are pockets if great quiet neighbourhoods throughout Kalgoorlie Boulder and Boulder should never be dismissed easily .

Looking for a home in Boulder?

"Friendliest suburb in town."

Boulder has been given a bad rap & is often considered Kalgoorlies poor sister,
BUT- Boulder is a great place to live & raise a family.
The monthly Boulder Markets gets everyone out & socialising with food, stalls & entertainment.
The Primary school is friendly & family orientated.
Buying a property in Boulder means- More bang for your buck!
Anyone can live here & be happy (unless your a big snob, we're too down to earth for the snobs, lol)

"5 minutes from everything without paying to much"

Everything that you want or is available within 5 minutes from home and you dont have to pay that $30,000-50,000 more to get the same home in many cases. Have lived in the city for 40 plus years and in several location around the city ,central, lamington, between the 2 main centres and in Boulder where i have enjoyed most of my time here. All the problems that you may thing of by living in Boulder are still there and sometimes more abundant in the other areas in the city. You would be surprised if you did yourself a favour and seriously looked at statistics and not just what impressions others give. Here we still say hello to next door and across the road

"Growing community within the Kalgoorlie -Boulder area"

Boulder is just south of Kalgoorlie and was always a separate town, then in 1989 the two merged to be called Kalgoorlie- Boulder. Boulder still has its own Post Office though and for that matter post code and has most of its uniqueness. Boulder still has facilities called Boulder this and Boulder that such as Boulder primary school, Boulder Caravan Park etc. Living in the area has really only gone ahead and being joined to Kalgoorlie has had many advantages. One of the most well known streets in boulder is Burt St and there are many heritage listed building here some are still operating, especially the hotels! Boulder has some good shopping, schools and playing fields with the Boulder sports oval is still a favorite. As the town of Boulder has merged with Kalgoorlie it is easy move around with a good public transport system to and from the major centres both administration and retail. Housing is generally affordable although higher priced properties are being bought and sold regularly. The population of the Boulder are itself is over the 6,000 mark but with areas now combined it is hard to get an accurate figure. Boulder is still an interesting place to live and work with a friendly community of like minded people.
