Reviews of Bradbury, NSW

"Best suburb in sydney"

Bradbury is a quiet family friendly neighbourhood. Close to all the amenities you could require. A very green and tranquil suburb great for walks and appreciating nature but also close to macarthur square, campbelltown mall for all your shopping needs. There's also many great restaurants and places to eat and plenty of activities for couples, families and kids. Bowling, events cinemas and even putput indoor golf. So much to see and do.

"Great place to live"

Within walking distance to shops. Lots of great green places to walk to. 5min drive to station, MacArthur square or Campbelltown station. Lots of beautiful trees and people take care of their gardens. People are friendly. Great place to live

"Perfect Pocket of Campbelltown"

When it comes to surrounding suburbs of Campbelltown, you can't beat Bradbury. Not only is it in close proximity to Campbelltown Hospitals, major shopping centres, train stations and the Hume Highway, but it offers so much for families of all ages. It's a beautiful hilly lush suburbs with plenty of quiet streets, parks, sports grounds, a local pool, schools and childcare centres, a local pub with quality food and an upcoming water park!
It's also a shorter drive than you think to Bulli or Wollongong!
I wouldn't want to move anywhere else

"A one of a kind unique leafy suburb within the City centre"

Lived in different areas in Sydney. Bradbury is such a wonder. I can not ask for more. Peaceful, nice neigbourhood, leafy suburb within the Campbeltown CBD. You get the best of living in a tranquil , enviable greenery suburb right within the center of the City. Its simply one of a kind and not to mention the Billabong Parklands that is soon to arise. This will surely shoot up the value of the place. Whew!

"Quiet,leafy suburb for families."

We moved here to get into the real estate market 5 years ago. We moved from the St George area which we loved but couldn’t afford the $800k purchase price. We are happy here. We have parks,Art centre, great shopping at Macarthur Square,Event cinemas, train stations close by and some really great public and private schools. Bradbury truly is a hidden gem.

Rentals in Bradbury

"Well established suburb with spacious houses and backyards"

I like Bradbury because it is close to the train station so you don't need to drive to the city, has good schools, a good public swimming pool, nearby shopping centres and the closeness to the easy links to Sydney, Southern Highlands, the beaches etc. It also offers reasonable rentals, closeness to TAFE and Uni and job opportunities.

Great for

  • I see that there are many local sporting events and areas where people can engage in sporting activities.
  • There are a couple of clubs. Art gallery and markets.

Not great for

  • Not sure, probably being about 50from Sydney CBD (actually it is quite good if you work and study locally)

"Nice quiet suburb"

We moved from St Marys, after 10 years living in around the western suburbs to Hilly, leafy Bradbury, the best move we made. Both my husband and I work in Baulkham Hills and enjoy the feeling we get when we drive into Campbelltown to head home.Campbelltown and some of its surrounding suburbs still have that wide open spaces and I lived in Kurrajong for 15 years whilst growing up. We have been here since 2006. Our family is expanding and we have to either extend or sell our house, but there is one thing for sure we will not leave the wonderful suburb we now call home.

"A leafy suburb tucked just around the corner from the City of Campbelltown"

I grew up in Bradbury, moved to the city and then have come back as a home owner just over 11 years ago.

We love the leafy streets, the bird life, the peace and quiet of the suburb. Friendly neighbours, child friendly parks and good walking paths mean that its ideal for families.

All this plus we have access within minutes to great shopping centres, cinemas, restaurants, art gallery, public library, train station, etc. What else could we want?

"A Hidden Gem"

It always amazes me that Bradbury has remained a secret for so long. It's quiet, but SO close to the hub of town and everything you need. It's within a 5 minute radius of Macarthur Square, Campbelltown Mall, The Art Gallery and Chinese Gardens, Campbelltown Catholic Club, Rydges, The Cube Entertainment Centre, Aquafit and Bradbury Swimming Pool. Public and private hospitals, and specialist medical centres are close by. Greater Union Cinemas (including Gold Class) and Dumaresq Street Cinemas are easily accessible. Bradbury has a great little community shopping centre, including Foodworks, a medical centre and friendly neighbourhood newsagent, butcher, bakery, video store, eateries etc. There is a gymnasium and great Pre-School. People have been known to pretend to live in Bradbury, so that their children can have the opportunity of attending our excellent local school, Bradbury Public, which includes fantastic teachers and an Opportunity Class. There are many beautiful leafy streets in Bradbury to walk your dog, jog and generally enjoy passing lovely, well-kept gardens while getting fit. So many long-standing residents love their homes in Bradbury and take great pride in their gardens. If you have to get away (although why would you want to?), Wollongong's beaches are an easy 1/2 hour drive away, with almost no traffic lights!! (I've lived in Bradbury for over 20 years, unlike the person who left the negative review.) It's only a matter of time before the secret is out and Bradbury will no longer be an affordable suburban jewel.

I'm glad you're gone Syd09. Bradbury is looking even better since you left.

Syd09

I hope you stay there PVan, the area needs as many close eyed people as it can get. It's a part of Campbelltown that should be avoided. You can keep your housing commission and men in wifebeaters, I'm much happier now I'm closer to the city. Hope you're enjoying being on the fringes.

Crime is under-reported in the city so idiots like you rent out rich people's property portfolio.Best of luck sheep.

I've heard it's a lovely area, but why attack someone for their opinion? Syd09 is expressing his/her opinion and may have had a different experience.

anneq

This syd09 is one opinion that doesn't represent the majority of people that live here. Every place got few strange areas, Bradbury has very little. I would know, frequently walk the area. Honestly Bradbury is a great place to live in.

Syd09 Were there any particular streets you had problems with? We might look at moving out that way due to the cost of rent where we are currently.
