Broughton Road, Surrey Hills, VIC 3127

Fairly long street that runs from Canterbury Rd through to Elgar Rd. Used as a thoroughfare so can be a little busy during peak periods, but a nice wide road and roundabouts. Pretty quiet during the rest of the day. Street is hilly going down in the middle.

Council has planted mix of trees which are beginning to give more of that 'leafy' feel. Mix of houses and suitable for families, couples and retired. Retirement complex at Canterbury Rd end that looks pretty nice. Church at Elgar St end where local elections sometimes held.

Location is good in that it is about 5mins to the shops & cafes in Canterbury, Surrey Hills, Camberwell, and also not too far from Box Hill's great Asian restaurant precinct. Also about 10mins to Doncaster Westfield and a bit further to Chadstone. Similiar distances to Eastern Freeway and Monash.

Much closer is Wattle Park which is terrific for kids and walking the dog (golf course, reception venue etc) and the Wattle Park shops - newsagency, post office, butcher, chemist, takeaways, cafe, hairdressers, Indian restaurant, bottle shop, florist and a great bakery.

Tram runs along Riversdale Rd going all the way into the city. Buses also in nearby streets and nearest train station is Surrey Hills.
