I currently live in Bushland Beach. There is a small but decent IGA, bottle shop, fish and chip shop and hair dresser. Down near the water is the Bushland Beach Tavern and another fish and chip shop (that serves the best fish and chips in Townsville). 10 mins drive to North Shore they have a Maccas, Caltex, Woolies, Chemist, bottle shop, butcher, Flight Centre, Newsagents, Cafe, Civic Video and Dominoes. They are currently in the process of building a Bunnings. Also 10 mins drive in a different direction is Woodlands which has a Coles and Woolies, about 10 fast food and takeaway stores, newsagency and a gym.

Hello - what public swimming pools are around in the Bushland Beach area. Thank you.

Northern Beaches Leisure Centre, located in North Shore, has an olympic sized pool, a heated pool, 2 toddler/kids playing pool as well as two slides. They also have great bathrooms with hot showers, a barbeque and lawn area. It is located only about 5 minutes away from Bushland Beach. Hello friend, I have a few friends that live there and they have never complained about the crime in Bushland Beach. I think if anything, it's 'too far out' for anyone to bother going there to commit any serious crime. I've owned my investment property there since 2009 and my tenants have been there from the beginning and have never reported any issues with crime or break and enters at my property. It's a beautiful part of the Country and I wish you all the best.

Hi friend,

I haven't been to check my investment property there for over 2 years now.

But 2 years ago there was a small shopping complex around the corner from my property/estate.

There was a hair dresser, a bottle-o and 4 other shops that I forget now sorry. There was also an ABC Childcare Centre right next door to it.

100m further down the road heading towards the beach, there is a small convienience store there and the resort is right on the beach.

My rental manger informed me mid last year they are building a decent sized shopping complex in Bushland Beach. Will have the regular Woolies/Coles stuff and smaller shops.

A friend lives in North Shore, 5 mins drive heading back into Townsville and they are currently building the biggest (or close to) new shopping centre in Townsville there.

Overall plenty of shopping options in that area.

Hope this helps and thanks for your question.

Cheers KH2
