go for any up market houses in any suburb close to city that suits your budget. Buy a brand new or less than 10 years home.These houses usually have security alarm and less maintenance issue.Do your homework and speak to your community group in Australia.

Depends on what lifestyle you want. Coastal, close to City, larger acreage. There is such a large choice in all these areas. Probably the outer suburbs for family but you really need to look before you buy/rent.
