Reviews of Cambridge Park, NSW

"Nothing Happens in Cambridge Park"

A lovely, small suburb where most people are aged 50+.

The only bad thing about Cambridge Park is that it is VERY quiet. Nothing happens in Cambridge Park. Everyone gives you a wave. the oval is nice and the Coles in Cambridge Gardens is close enough. You get woken up by birds. At night you can't hear a peep.

This little suburb is the perfect pocket in the Penrith region. Close enough to Kingswood Station, but far enough to stay quiet. Close enough to Penrith CBD, but far enough to not be busy. Neighbors are nice and like to spin a yarn.

Although not the richest area, everyone seems to be going about their work and are just getting through life. It's just lovely.

The only thing it needs is a cute hipster cafe on Oxford Street that sells nice coffee and burgers.

"Our neighbours are more like our family"

We've been here for 15 years, our children have grown up in Cambridge Park and have friends up and down the street. It's a safe and friendly place to raise children, esp young children. The streets are wide and straight, and the block sizes are massive to today's standards. There are also many lovely elderly couples living here too.

Great for

  • Many friendly young families.
  • Lots of childcare, public and private schooling.
  • Walking distance from Penrith CBD
  • Freindly, great size blocks, safe.

"Love this suburb"

I have rented for most of my life, in the northen suburbs of Sydney. I then had the oppurtunity to buy my first home. I was a bit unsure of buying in western Sydney initially, but value for money was just too good to pass up. I found a great home in Cambridge Park at a great price. I have lived here now for four years & don't regret making the move one bit. The neighbours are fantastic, the area is really quiet, it's just out of the Penrith CBD but close enough for me either walk, drive or get a bus to the major shopping centre. Westfields purchased what was once called Penrith Plaza & have invested a lot of money in turning it into a large Westfiled shopping complex. There is a lot of new housing now going up in the area & it appears to moving along quiet nicely. I would not hesitate in recommending this area to anyone who was thinking of buying, the size of the land still available is amazing. Do your research & take a closer look at Cambridge Park.

"Great Area"

We bought our first home in this suburb 3 years ago & have loved it ever since. The size of the property is fantastic. The neighbours are very friendly and there is a great neighbourly spirit & pride in the area. Everyone looks after their properties & keeps them clean & tidy. Never had any issues with crime in the area at this time, no burnt out cars, no needles, no junkies, no letter box being blown up. Public transport is great, plenty of buses, close to train station, plenty of schools in the area. Parks have all been well maintained by council, lots of local sports happening too. Very close to Penrith CBD with Westfields shooping centre as well. If your looking for an affordable place to buy then this area is it, prices in the area have been going up & have faired well in the last 3 years. So come on out & take a look around.

  • Freindly, great size blocks, safe.

"Cambridge Park..... What more do you want?"

We received the keys to our 1st home in Rugby Street, last year on Anzac Day.

Our neighbours have been nothing but supportive always telling us the place is looking better by the day, with all the hard work we are putting into the gardens.

Don't get me wrong, our house used to be the brothel on the street, and approx 3 years ago was raided for drugs - so it has taken a while for us to get it back into shape!

We are a gay couple and feel very very safe in this suburb, we walk our dogs or go for a run and with the weird hours we both work, could be in the middle of the night sometimes!

We are forever being told by our friends that we are "SO BRAVE" for living out here - I put them to a challenge - Find a 3brm brick house with 650m2 in Sydney for under $300,000!

We have fantastic neighbours who look out for each other, and are willing to lend a hand where needed, the public transport is good, Werrington Lake is nice, the streets are wide, local shops are friendly, and most of all peace and quiet!

We have our own block of land with a good house on it to call home and I wouldn't wish to live anywhere else at the moment!
