Reviews of Campbell Street, Frankston

"Great street, thorns behind the roses"

We moved to Campbell St almost two years ago and found the neighbours to be friendly and welcoming. 3mins walk to the beach St shops, 5mins to the other ones and a 3min drive to the Ashleigh Ave shops. 5 mins drive to the Karingal Hub or Frankston shops.
Many residents here are retired or work nights meaning the majority of the time the street is very peaceful. A stones throw from 2 Primary schools and zoned for John Paul and Karingal Park. Highly recommend the area to anybody.
The properties along Campbell st in more cases than not, do not have much in the way of parking facilities resulting in the street always being lined with cars. Being a narrow road with bends you cannot see past is a hazard, as well as most cars you pass on the way do not give way to you. Failing to come to an almost stop behind each parked car on your way down will result in a near-miss.
One constant parking issue is a camper van that sits at the top end of the street 24/7 and will be parked outside other residents homes for months at a time, blocking a lot of visibility for those in nearby houses who pull out not knowing your there at all.
If the driveways were extended a couple metres allowing more cars onto the properties and the campervan was taken elsewhere, this street would have 5 stars easily.
