Do we have too many schools in the area?

Canterbury is not exactly a large suburb, but it seems like the government is determined to pack as many schools as possible into the area. It is already very congested at times during the day, this might only make it worse.

I can understand why these schools are expanding, unfortunately I dont think the local government cares too much, quality schools have built Canterbury and the surrounding suburbs into what they are today.

Yes - and growing! But it does seem to help property prices

I agree, I have to drive out around 3.30pm and it's crazy because the streets are so busy and the speed limit is reduced to 40kmh.

It's interesting to see how the schools have effectively made the surrounding areas into the wealthiest suburbs in all of Victoria. Traffic is not getting any better though you are right, and now that the Burke Road shop expansion is nearing completion, it's only getting worse.
