Chenier Street is ideally located in Rye and is only a 1.5 km walk to the ocean beaches and a short drive to the bay beaches. It is a nice quiet street with some beautiful established trees. If you are looking for a beach escape in a permanent or holiday home then Chenier Street is a great proposition.

"Great Peninsula street, with a real beach feel!!"
We've just recently bought a house in this street and we're really happy with our choice. Its about a 1.5km walk to the back beach and a 5 minute drive to the front beach which some people might consider an issue, everyone on the street seems nice, although we haven't met many of them yet. There is very little traffic flowing through the street - which is perfect for the kids, and with Melbourne road down one end there's great links to the rest of the Peninsula.
The street is full of Monah and Tee trees, which really creates an awesome holiday feel everytime you go down there, The only downfall for us would be that its a long walk in the morning to get a coffee and the paper, but i guess with all real estate purchases there's always a comprimise between location and quality. We feel we've got a good mix of both.

my mate just sold his house on chenier st he reno'd it damn good house but found it a F**KING TOURO bought it grrrrr , wasn't impressed
