"Very friendly neighbours"

I have recently moved to the street and the neighbours are super friendly. Last weekend a neighbour asked to borrow my wheelbarrow and returned it the following day loaded with a six pack of beer, just the sort of thing that makes you feel welcome! We have another neighbour that has kids the same age as us, and they have been really friendly also. I have only been here 2 months and have already meet 5 people from the street, it has a great community appeal. Its great the council has planted trees on the street, it will give it a better look when they grow fully in the next 5 years or so. Its great to be 10 mins from a one one station and so close to the shops and especially edwardes lake park which has been totally revamped. I timed my run into the city last Saturday morning and it only took 21 mins to get to bourke street (St Georges Rd, Arthurton Road, Nicholson Street).,
Also great to be close to the train station with the council's plans to revamp it, check the plans out here- http://www.darebin.vic.gov.au/files/Reservoir_MAC_Structure_Plan_2012.pdf
Oh and last of all, so great to have our property backing on to Wrights reserve, great for the kids to run around in and the neighbours tell me they don't get any trouble from it.
Pros
  • Friendly neighbours
  • Close to shops, parks, train station
  • Council's plans to completely redevelop train station
Cons
  • I will have to wait for the trees to grow
