Lots of people walk their dogs along the foreshore at nearby Sandgate which is something nice for the dog and owner. Better still, there is a cracking place at Clontarf (cnr Snook St and Duffield Rd) which is a huge dog park (the best I have ever come across). Worth the drive over.

There is an excellent dog park at the St Pats sports fields in Deagon. It is very popular.
