As far as safety is concerned, Eagleby is as safe as anywhere else in Logan City. In regard to the current crime rate & break-ins, around 20% of Queenslanders have been broken into & a lot of the time it can be prevented by not leaving valuable items, car keys or wallets near open doors or windows where an opportunity presents itself. They say around 25% of those who have been robbed were actually at home when the theft occurred. It's a good practice to keep your screen doors locked even when you are watching TV or working around your home. There are less desirable areas in every suburb, but generally speaking, you can see by driving around an area, where the properties are well looked after or neglected, & where to steer clear of. The website 'My Police Logan' can give you an overview of the major crime areas in Logan City.

i have lived in Eagleby for 3 years. I know of a neighbour that has lived there for 29 years.
Great place certainly underrated.
9 kilometers to Hyperdome one of the best and biggest shopping centrs, central to both Brisbane and the gold coast.
express train 2 kilometres away ,always stops at Beenleigh railway station. Real estate so,so cheap and just cannot understand why.Soon people will wake up.

Yes, totally safe. Very similar to Coomera and surrounding suburbs where you get a few odd characters. It's a great place to live and invest and is changing quickly. Its already in a great location and now with the new coomera connector going through its opening it up to Cleveland which will soon be about a 15min drive, fantastic for the people who go boating and jet skiing. It's a older suburb but well worth considering if you are looking at buying and after great value as the market hasn't gone totally silly here yet.

Have lived here for years, it's a great place to live. Haven't had any issues and neither has our neighbours who have lived here for 20 plus years. Great investment as houses are reasonably priced and usually come with a good sized section. Used to live in Coomera and Ormeau and the people here are so much more friendly. Great parks for the kids and walks from central Eagleby to the boat ramp and around the park. Has no issues and it's safe heaps of others out walking and families.

But you have to understand something. No where and I mean no where in Queensland at the moment is totally exempt from crime. It's just the frequency of crime in suburbs and towns that vary. Crime has skyrocketed over 147 percent since 2015, due to the increased population that has exceeded prison space. And rather than deal, Qld is now building 5 new youth detention centres. My family members and my friends all sold their homes and now live in gated estates. I lived in an elite inner city suburb and had a crack head on parole try to get into my lounge room at 3. a.m in the morning and terrorize me for 20 minutes until the police arrived. I had a youth gang from Chrurchie Grammar break into my house at Chandler and lit fire to the house. But prior to this, we lived in a street in Redlands full of retirees and had NO issues. If you choose to live in Queensland , you choose to live with the risk of crime. To prove my point, just look at houses and units for sale anywhere in Queensland online and there's one common denominator. All pictures have steel bars or security screens. But you can't stop living and you have to live somewhere. As Pamela rightfully state's in her reply a quarter of breakins are actually what Queenslanders call " walk ins " when the occupants are home. Be vigilant, install cameras and KNOW your neighbours.
