Reviews of Elm Street, Northcote

"Quirky green mostly Edwardian and Victorian self owned cottages opposite newly revised herb park with gated play area and kinder with strong community spirit!!!"

I've loved all over the world Abd all over Australia and Melbourne but this is the ultimate place to live. Gorgeous tiny cozy street with veggie patches Abd couches out the front. Most homes are Edwardian or Victorian and being done up. We know and care for all our neighbours very much. Abd j mean young and old. Children young Abd primary plus secondary all play together. We have a new sustainable park here with best kinder and newish playground plus they have decided to add herb gardens extra bbq covered area rise gardens Abd brand new toilet. They are still planting as I write. We have 2 trams, Northcote station ( so close to the city) walk to Ceres Abd north Fitzroy Abd bike riding area plus walk to the shopping centre for all the shops you need. This arrays easily becoming central Northcote with 7 star plus apartments with organic gardens being build. Kids Abd families all take care of each other and you can here guitars and singing in the summer. Don't need a car at all. Just hike or bike it as there are no hills here. It's the most fabulous area ( hidden nick of Northcotes woods) and within 3-5 years all the jokes will be done up to perfection in Northcotes own unique way. Even the nature strips have swings on them and child cat littke dog friendly. Great friendly graffiti along the laneways. Life doesn't get better than this. Come in late spring summer and check out the green trees along Elm street. One feels held here.
A hidden treasure. Cafe: go to the Herbert cafe ( yes has herbs inside and outside) great coffee Abd food opposite Northcote station. The large roads have BIG plans for them like new cafes and apartments ( nice ones) will make it look even more superb. Never have I lived in such a caring pretty sustainable community.
