"Nice place, however."

Lovely scenery, good fishing, RSL, Bowling club, surf club, great pub. No shortage of relaxation. However, be careful when shopping, way too many times whilst shopping the prices went up from the shelf to the checkout, tourist gouging! Had to question the final cost of my shopping too many times for it to be a coincidence. Given the same excuse everytime "oh its not on special anymore" or "must have scanned wrong" When I pointed out the rule's for incorrect scanned item's (items that are scanned with an innocent price are free) this seemed to reduce the huge number of incorrect scannings.

"Quintessential Beach Village"

Evans Head has beautiful beaches and rivers and is surrounded by National Parks with walking trails and freshwater lagoons.

It's ideal for water activities like surfing, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and boating.

It's pristine waterways make fine fishing spots, and there’s a Fisherman’s Coop near the marina where you can buy fresh caught prawns, crabs, and fish from local fishing boats.

There are some spectacular coastal views from Razorback Lookout and Goanna Headland. From May to November whales and dolphins are abundant, it's a good place for whale spotting.

Evans Head has a country town feel with wide streets and quaint facades. There's a good mix of restaurants, cafes, and old school milkbars. It’s a real slice of paradise nestled by Evans river between the Pacific ocean and surrounded by national parks.

Nearest airports are Ballina / Byron Bay Airport (35-40min) and Lismore Airport (35-40min).
