Reviews of Evans Street, Brunswick
"Unique Street"
Great location in Brunswick with everything in walking distance. Quality restaurants and nightspots, great cafes along Lygon st to stop into, medical services, public transport (tram on lygon), parks and gyms are close by to.
Friendly neighbourhood people I've met have always been friendly to me.
housing is a range of single fronted renovated and un-renovated terraces.
Getting through the street can be a little difficult sometime as with cars parked on the street only one car can get through.

"A jewel in the Crown of Brunswick"
Evans St, wedged between the bustling strips of Sydney Road and Lygon Street, offers an oasis of calm in an otherwise booming part of the city.
A few minutes walk in any direction and the wonderful amenities of the suburb unfold before your eyes.
Parks, cafes and bars are all a stone's throw from this location, offering something for everyone.
Next to no traffic, friendly neighbors and a legacy of council planning with one eye on the heritage inheritance of the future generations demand a big 'thumbs up' from me.
What a wonderful place.

"Great quiet street, so close to everything"
Excellent position, absolutely everything is walking distance (cafes, shops, bars, medical services, public transport, schools, childcare, parks, gym, etc)
Previously lived in Richmond and Southbank, and have found the great array of quality restaurants and nightspots near Evans St far exceeded my expectations.
Neighbours are great, very helpful and friendly
Only issue is the width of the street, and parking. There is only room for one car to pass between parked cars, and you sometimes find yourself having to park outside a neighbours house. That said, it is very quiet with almost no through traffic.

"Excellent position, narrow street"
Narrow street in good area poses some problems. Parking often an issue, and driving visibility limited. More townhouses and flats and fewer houses is the trend. Property prices excellent with recent property boom. Nearby small park for toddlers would be so much better with the larger part properly fenced off, at present only part of it is enclosed. Would also be better place for older children to play if this were the case.
