I lived in Grace St for the last 12 months and the aircraft noise is a very loud due to being directly under the ascent path. You get used to it quite quickly (at least we did). I grew up near Jandakot Airport, so its never bothered me. I was more disturbed by the traffic noise from Albany Hwy late at night due to police and ambulance sirens at weird hours of the morning. At least the aircraft noise stops after 12 due to airport curfews.

We just moved to the other side of Ferndale and traffic noise is alot better, still get plenty of aircraft though.

Yes, If you live towards the northern end of Ferndale. Since the flight path changed a couple of years ago the planes now take off and land with the flight path crossing Ferndale. Particularly bad in the northern end as the planes split east and west directly over the northern tip of Ferndale and you cop the direct engine noise as they are ascending. The ones that go straight over are not a problem at all.

On the eastern side you get a little but now that new runway open it seems less.
