Fletcher Street, Netley, SA 5037

This quiet little dog-legged street is full of simple houses, low fences, neat front gardens and lovely neighbours. My brother lived in the street for a few years, and we now rent here as a couple with 2 young kids, so we have seen it over the last few years, and it hasn't changed, just the street trees have got bigger! Because of its' out of the way nature, the street is not attractive to louts and hoons, even with the drainage channel running along with eastern section. It is convenient to public transport, being nicely located between the city and Glenelg. Shopping is just around the corner, or just up the street, depending on whether you prefer to walk, bike or drive. The houses are all of a similar post-WWII austerity style, and there are a couple of houses with security blinds on the windows. These kind of houses work very well with being tidied up and renovated, and all the blocks are of a reasonably good size. The only downside is that there seem to be a lot of houses with cats, so the bird life is a little at risk, there are cat fights at night, and a few little holes in the garden... But otherwise, it's a nice little street full of nice people.
