Reviews of Florence Street, Williamstown North
"Quiet corner of Williamstown"
Florence street isn't your typical Williamstown street. It's away from all the hype of your Nelsons places, or Williamstown beach or the Strand. Florence street is a Gum tree lined street that has one side with curbs, and the other has none. Instead it seamlessly blends with the road. This is a feature of the street is very uncommon these days. It gives the street a casual feel. A place where you can drive right up to your own door step, your friends door step even.
Some may say that the cemetery that is around corner could not be ideal for living... That's in the mind of the person living here. In my opinion, I have never had an issue with it and I have had a great friend live here most his life. So take it for what its worth.
Further more to what I have mentioned above, Newport and Williamstown nth Train stations are short drives away, and there is a sports field that hosts junior and senior cricket and baseball. Even the odd local kick of the footy. If you into horses, there is a small Horse club, It may be equestrian, I'm not sure, I have never looked into it. They seem to on their turf once a month or so.
All in all, this street is away from it all, which i think gives it its character and its true value. You can have the lifestyle of Williamstown and still go home afterward and feel as though your in a small suburb many clicks from the city. Don't mind if i do. :)
