Reviews of Forster Street, Mitcham

"Close to station and shops"

Forster Street is located at the Heatherdale side of Mitcham and is ideally located moments to the train station.

One downside (not for all but some might see it as one) is that one side of the street backs onto the train line and can be loud, but I'm sure it is something you would quickly get used to .

The street has lovely trees all the way down and can be used as cut through from Purches Street/Brunswick Road so sometimes it can be busy. Parking can also be an issue due to the train station, but limited longterm parking helps (after hours is fine).

Overall it is a lovely area in Mitcham to live in and I highly recommend it to families and young professionals wanting to be in a nice spot, but still near the action.

"Leafy, busy little street"

Lined with spreading oak trees, and its closeness to Heatherdale station and Eastlink make it great for commuters. But the station also attracts a certain amount of graffiti and litter. As it runs parallel to the train line it is used as an alternative route by some motorists. There are a number of local eateries - either on Whitehorse Road Mitcham or on Canterbury Road near Purches St. There's the Manhattan Hotel on Heatherdale Rd and lots of dining choices in Ringwood. Eastland is close by for lots of shopping options. There are rosellas and occasionally kookaburras and owls in the area.
