Pure.Krome i have to agree however its a sign of how popular the suburb has become. Bridge Rd, Glydale fresh food market, Victoria Garden etc make RICHMOND an awesome place to live, with a some small traffic hicups ;-)
That's true. That's why i have a scooter to zip around. The Glydale fresh food market -> is that the open market on sat (or is it sun) morning, until 12:00 .. in front of the richmond baths? That's a pretty damn kewl little market IMO .. so you're right about that.
and of course, we can't forget swan street and parts of church street (like u stated in your initial post).
I think this is one of the best suburbs in melbourne, IMO.
How do you find the public transport?
Yeah the glydale market is opposite the baths...its not huge but its great for fresh food, and if you have a scooter then you'll be right to get around as things do slow down with cars.
Public transport (trams) is okay into the city but also out to the suburbs like Box Hill. Taxis are quick as well being so close to the city
@Lewispa: how do you find the traffic on the weekends in richmond? i used to live here, but now i just work in the area (but my parents still live in the area) and the traffic on the weekends is just woeful now. 10 years ago it wasn't that bad, but now it's a carpark.
what do you think?
