Better suburbs in Geelong?

I am a single mum and looking at moving tk geelong and have heard mixed reveiws about certain parts of geelong to live. I would be renting and just wanting to know what are the safer better suburbs for families with children? Thanks

There are over 60 suburbs to choose from. Areas close to the city like Geelong West, Manifold Heights or North Geelong are ideal for affordability, proximity to shopping strips and schools, as well as well connected to public transport.
