"Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood...living here is highly rewarding..."

We moved here from Hornsby just less than a year ago after exhausting all our options to buy a large family home either on the upper north shore or the northern beaches I grew up in. Although we did find large homes within our budget in those locations, they were all however either too old, badly designed, or simply inconveniently located within their respective suburbs. Trading those options with a well-built home that's remarkably grand and standing tall in what we've pleasantly discovered to be a superior suburb to most, has left us thinking why we hadn't moved here earlier. After all, even the northern beaches are only about half an hour away on weekends, while a night out in the city is just over 20 minutes on the M2. Yet we're finding ourselves enjoying the suburb too much to venture out as often as we used to, for everything including great dining are right here, absent the beaches.

Here in Giovanna Court, we've access to some of the best sporting/recreation fields we've ever thought possible. Just a five minute stroll from our home takes us to Fred Caterson Reserve, wherein we've access to sporting fields, bush-walking tracks, cycling tracks, tennis courts and more. Alternatively, a pleasant twenty minute walk along a well-paved path next to a creek takes us to the Bernie Mullane Sporting Complex, with more fields, a gym and other activities at our disposal. The kids absolutely love it here as there's so much for them to do than play with their Nintendos....err...after we confiscate them of course!

The street itself is well kept and absolutely gorgeous. The trees along the road are reasonably large enough to soon form a leafy green tunnel to blanket parts with a nice shade in a few years from now. Just entering Giovanna Court is a marvelous experience to many of our visiting family and guests, given the backdrop of visible bushland beyond the cul-de-sac. As for the neighbors, although some prefer the hermitic life and are respected for it, we are however well acquainted with four families in our immediate vicinity, with all of them highly affluent and very interesting people for a pleasant chat.

The only drawback on the entire region is the absence of a rail network, even if it needs to be mentioned that the available bus service is moderately agreeable insofar as helping one get to places (slowly). Yet with the expected change in the leadership of the NSW government, it is highly likely that the proposed metro will go through, hence making a purchase into this area a sound investment in a few years from now. I've always been fortunate with my property purchases and doubt that my luck would turn for the worst with our current home.

Giovanna Court is the closest it comes to a perfect neighborhood and the fact that I'm motivated to write about this at 1:30am on a very hot night ought to tell you something :~)
