Hi Drew, Halls Head and the Mandurah area have great beaches, they are often sparsely populated and you will be able to enjoy them in peace. It is approximately 50mins to an hour to Perth, although, if you are going into Perth CBD the train is the best option, and that takes just under 50 mins. I'd definitely recommended for a British family to locate in Halls Head, with many already calling Halls Head home. There is a variety of housing to suit whatever budget you have, with most houses on relatively good size blocks (~700 square metres). There are also plenty of dog beaches in the area, parks and paths to walk your dog. Plenty of schools as well, with many public primary schools as well as one private primary school and many other private primary schools located nearby.

I work with many British people and they all enjoy the lifestyle of Mandurah.
