Fairholme is ideally situated just 13kms west of the major regional centre of Naracoorte in the Stewarts Range district. The immediate district is noted for it's livestock breeding and finishing ability.
Fairholme comprises approximately 162.7 hectares of 402 acres of ideally balanced prime grazing land being suited to both sheep and cattle along with an older house and cottage which are not currently lived in.
The property is situated in a reliable rainfall area, which receives an approximate annual average of 575mm to 625mm of predominantly Autumn / Winter / Spring rainfall.
Land comprises an ideal balance of flat to gently undulating loam over clay and limestone along with some limestone outcrop country. This topography/soil type is ideally suited to improved pastures comprising mainly sub clover and annual grasses. These soils provide prolific autumn, early winter, spring and early summer growth.

Fairholme is made up of a superior balance of strong range country and productive loam flats. The range country includes red and medium loams over limestone while the flats are predominantly medium loams over clay. These soil types are regarded as being versatile and productive, being particularly well suited to cattle and sheep production. The slightly undulating topography has excellent moisture and fertility retaining properties and provides a high stocking rates throughout the season. These soil types have proved to be highly productive for livestock breeding, finishing and sustain a strong carry capacity. This style of land is also regarded as being healthy from the livestock perspective. Pastures are subclover based with annual grasses being typical of the district.
Trees include Red Gum, Blue Gum and Hill Gum which are in ideal proportion offering excellent shade and shelter.

LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION
Fairholme has traditionally been utilised for beef and sheep production while the immediate district is highly regarded for breeding and finishing.
