Reviews of Hopetoun St, Camperdown

"Ticks all the boxes."

Why is Hopetoun St the best street to live in? It is like suburbia, quiet, leafy with plenty of birds, but walk through the park at the end of the street and your in busy King St, the best bit too. Movies, cafe's, pubs indoor and out, competitive stores IGA, Foodworks, local butchers and green grocers. Pulbic transport is also at both ends of the street, and a short stroll to Parramatta rd if you need to zip into the city quick. in the bus lane.
Hopetoun St is leafy and wide, with plenty of parking as the 2hr zone keeps the uni students from parking there, so there are always plenty of spots except the day of the Newtown Festival where you can't move your car all day.
Marrickville Council is the best at putting on activities for the kids, council pick ups and maintaining the gazillion parks around.
Having the hospital up the street meant that I could waddle home between being induced and labour. 3 gyms in the area, although Camperdown oval across the road is free.
The neighbours in this street have either been here forever (Joe, Shirley and Ray we love you) or a great mix of friendly newbies.
If you thinking of having kids soon, come to the inner west, otherwise known as 'Nappy Valley' with all the ammenties here, you won't feel alone.
