"Jessie Street is a lovely, quiet residential street which is in a well established area."

Jessie Street is well serviced by local buses and is in close (approx. 3km) proximity to nearby train stations on the Belgrave/Lilydale lines (which have frequent, express service trains) and also schools, parks, libraries and other local government services. The area has many lovely Australian and European trees and plants thus there are also many beautiful birds which give it the feel of not being too close to the city, yet is close enough to the Eastern Freeway and public transport to make it easy to get around Melbourne.

There are many families with young children who are able to play out in the street safely after school, which is very refreshing to see for someone yet to start a family. We have met quite a number of the neighbours at a street party last year and really enjoyed getting to know them and feel the local, community spirit between neighbours.

ChrisHofmann Hi NaomiKinkyboots, thanks for your review. I saw that No. 11 is for sale in your street. I'm just wondering, we will have our first baby this year and are looking for a place to stay on a long term, at least till after primary school. Do you have any information around the primary schools in the area? Are they any good? It's great to hear that the public transport system to the CBD seems to be in place. Do you have any noise from the Freeway on your street? Any reply would be very much appreciated. Kind Regards, Chris & Jo
