Kennedy Street, Caboolture, QLD 4510

I live near Kennedy Street. We moved to the area June 2007. I had never thought I would ever live in Caboolture. I have to say I was a snob.... and kind of still am! (I wouldn't live in Caboolture South....) This area of Caboolture (off Pumicestone Rd) is quiet and safe and I am happy to be here. We have good relationships with most of our neighbours. The area is changing. Instead of being full of rentals as it was a few years ago, it's now young couples with or without children entering the housing market. We are 5 mins from a Hospital, there are heaps of Dr's in and around the area. Multiple shopping choices and plenty of fast food. There is a lacking in places to eat out for dinner.. I have to recomment the Caboolture Sports Club (near M'field Train Station) We have a Baskin Robbins opening soon.. just need a Cold Rock now and I'll be happy! The traffic in the area is only hindered by the rail crossings in town. School time driving anywhere is a nightmare... The school bus system is good.. but as far as for public transport use.. it's lacking. I guess they figure that we have a main line Train Station 5 mins away so don't need it. There are lots of parks in the area, some fenced and others not. There's one fenced dog park that I know of off McKean Street. There is a mixture of public and private schools in the area. We also have a TAFE and small Uni campus. We're 25-30 mins to beaches (Bribie & Caloundra) 30 mins to National Park (Mt Mee) The area has had a bad name in the past, and some of the 'locals' around are a little scary, but all in all we love living here.
