A few houses on the main road does not make a development and these houses are gradually being redeveloped, being replaced by new houses or completely renovated. Most of Lugarno is privately owned, many have jewel water views, the air is clean, sea-breezes are a feature of summer. What's more, there are parks and bushwalks. Why drive to the Blue Mountains when you can have a bushwalk in your own suburb?
