High schools in Kingscliff

We are looking at moving to Kingscliff (or nearby) at the end of the year. Looking for a good HIGH school near Kingscliff area for my daughter who will be starting Year 10 next year. I want a school with a zero bullying tolerance and good teachers. I did hear that Tweed (this is some years ago) is a bit of a rough area with teenagers controlling the streets at night (not sure if this is still the case). A school that offers visual art and dancing possibly.

Also, does Kingscliff get "crowded" during holiday season? Do you have to go to Tweed for say, big w etc, dance classes?

I am currently on the Gold Coast and its a bit busy for me and unfriendly. Looking to move around the boarder somewhere that has affordable rental properties (under $300) and maybe a duplex or townhouse or house and less of a concrete jungle feel. I have looked at Banora Point, Kingscliff and Bilambil. Any other possibilities? My daughter needs to have good socialisation places around.

Thanks in advance, Jane

Hi jane. A school i would recommend is lindisfarne anglican grammar school. It is a private school with no bullying policy and great teachers! Although it is not in kingscliff i would say it is one of the best if not the best schools in the area. It also offers art and dance and a whole reange of things. It is located in terranora which is not too far away and like all the places you've listed is near good socilaisation places. Having lived in kingscliff myself i would say that although it does have it's own supermarket & dance studios you would need to travel to tweed for certain things as it's shopping centres are bigger and have more variety in shops. As for tweed being controlled by teenagers at night that's not true, although there have been some incidences in the past. However i am not exposed to it as much as i live more towards murwillumbah.
Good luck

Hi Bob, thanks for replying. I had a look at their website, and unfortunately I cannot afford a private grammer school. Do you know about public schools, maybe Kingscliff High School?

My niece went to Kingscliff High and had no problems. She now attends Uni over the border!
