Questions regarding older parts of Kirwan

I've noticed a lot of positive comments about the newer parts of Kirwan. I'm interested in knowing about the older parts, are there any cons about these areas. I would also like to know about Kirwan High school and nearby primary schools. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanking everyone in advance :)
