Which areas a good to live in past Midland, for example, Koongamia?

It seems very green around that area, but still close to amenities.

Depends on your price bracket.. Koongamia is cheap and it gets more expensive as you head East to the hills.
If money was no object my pick would be Viveash,Jane Brook,Helena Valley or Ellenbrook

If you head down Tonkin Hwy to the Great Nthn Hwy exist you also have places like Stratton which are on the cheaper side. But, if you are interested in a little bit of land there is Red Hill and other semi rural blocks. Some are very nice and you can have horses and all manner of miscellaneous extras that you can't have in suburbia.

There are quite a few areas within shopping distance of Midland, including Koongamia. I see what you mean by a lot of green, but really most of that green is accessed by being further up in the hills because Koongamia is pretty gravelly and a bit dry looking. Of course, in winter it is a bit greener than now. A good area really depends how much you want to spend and how far 'up' into the hills you want to go. Koongamia is at the cheaper end but it isn't too bad, mostly older houses. It has the open fences which always make it look a bit messy because you can see into yards and all the junk people collect over time! Up in the hills you have Darlington, which is high end and can be more exclusive. If you are looking for newer houses and that suburban feel then take a look at Helena valley - some really nice places there and a wider price range too. We looked there years ago and decided it was too far from work, but having been back recently I think it would have been a good choice.
