How bad are the mozzies on Lamb island and are there any snakes

Apparently there are snakes of the worrying time, but we keep our yard/grass down, but we have seen one green snake on the block next door, in the all the time we have been here since moving here, 6 years ago

4 years on Lamb Is, one year prior on Macleay Is. Lamb, the midgies bothered me for the first year and then just the odd bite which flairs up and I would consider myself sensative to midgies as am a red head with fine skin who had lots of trouble with them when on holidays, on Sunshine Coast Qld, as a child. Mossies can be bad but the council does spray for them, how regularly I can't answer that, early morning and at sunset can be bad, but when a bad season, mossies can attack you whenever you go outside. To help you and your neighbours need to make sure all windows and entertaining decks are screened and no vessels holding water on properties. Neither bug bothers me enough for me to contemplate moving away though!
