"Quiet and residential"

That pretty much sums it up. From a visitor's perspective, there really wasn't much to do. But at least around the two esplanades (east and west) it seemed like a decent place to live. They were right around the three or four parks I saw. If you've read some of my other reviews, you'll know I have a thing for parks and green space in cities. These parks aren't as epic or as lovely as others in the area (the (Royal?) Botanical Gardens, for instance), but it's never a bad thing to live by a park.

"Location, parks, shops...it has everything."

Liardet Street is a very nice street compared some of the others in the area, and one of the more desired streets to live in especially if you are after something a little bit further away from the beach.

Bay street does separate the street somewhat in terms of desirability, but even on the bad side, its still pretty good. On the west side of BAy Street, the houses are still quite nice, and the location is great because you are so close to Bay St, but the best part is on the east side of bay street that connects right through to Richardson Street.

The main reason for this has to be the beautiful parks that are here: Edwards Park and Lagoon Reserve. Both are amazing with huge palm trees.

Buy here is you can, you wont regret it.

"A perfect street with greenery and more"

Liardet Street in Port Melbourne is the continuation of Richardson Street, and is mostly comprised of weatherboard and brick townhouses, with a few apartment complexes. It is a little bit of a thoroughfare for traffic trying to get to Bay Street, but overall not a major issue.

One of the major benefits of Liardet Street is Lagoon Reserve and Edwards Park. Edwards Park is simply stunning and I highly recommend people visit if they haven't already, with it's massive palm trees and relaxing atmosphere. Sitting at Edwards park on a Sunday afternoon reading a book is the highlight of my week, and it really makes the location for me, as the beach can sometimes be just too windy or too cold.

Highly recommended!
