Lonsdale street I think is one little hidden gem. The corner shop Ramsi's is one of the best stocked shops you will find. There is never any desperate need to go to the supermarket with this shop. The owners of Ramsi's shop are so nice and friendly. The closeness to the Light rail and busses is great. On a lazy Sunday it is two minutes walk to the light rail and in less than ten you are at the fish markets for a great sunny lunch, or continue on to Haymarket for Yum Cha or a movie in fifteen minutes.
The street is a great place for the kids to learn to ride their bike and one of the few inner city streets where you can still see a game of street cricket being played on the weekends.
