Reviews of Lumeah St, Buninyong
"Instantly be accepted as a "local" in a country town."
Lumeah road is mostly made up of houses 5 years and newer. Most of these residents have come from elsewhere in Victoria, the rat race, the cities, the suburbs. Buninyong is the perfect bush/country town to lower your blood pressure and unwind amongst the gum trees and native bushland; the place where everyone gives a smile and a wave, and everyone welcomes you. Buninyong, and Lumeah road is where you'll feel like you belong as soon as you get here. In some towns, you'd have to be there 3 generations to be considered a local!
There is no noise at night, and daytime bring many people strolling along Lumeah road with their golf buggies or walking their dogs - there's a forest at the top of the street, and a park with a creek at the bottom of the street which will lead you into the centre of town. 15 minutes walk, and you're at the supermarket. 15 minutes drive, and you're in the centre of Ballarat. This is the best of both worlds.
If you've always wanted to live in a country town, but scared you'd never be accepted as a "local", then Lumeah Road Buninyong is definitely for you.
Take it from me. I'm a local. I've been here almost a year now.
