There are a number of parks and gardens in Malvern East. My favorite is central park as it's just stunning. It is located just off Burke Road near the corner of Wattletree Road.

Ardrie Park is nice, Ashburton Park is a short stroll away and has plenty of new car parking, a new state of the art playground and ovals. Also bike paths meander their way along Gardiner's creek where you'll find plenty of other parks along the way.
