What tips do you have to keeping your house clean?
I was hoping for suggestions on ways to keep my house clean, tidy and in order with some simple time saving suggestions. With a small family what tips do you have in order to decrease mess? Is there a routine I should follow? I find that my house gets messy very quickly whilst I'm constantly trying to tidy.

CAYG, clean as you go. That way when you're done there's no mess left. e.g. if you're making a meal, clean the pots etc. as soon as you're finished with them (it's also easier to clean them before they've dried out and the gunk has hardened on them).
