Freight Train - Running Behind Moore St - how loud is it?

I'm currenty looking at a property on Moore St Morningside and would like to know 1. how often to the freight train runs 2. is it louder than the passender train lines- cause I've been in the house when this is running and it is not a problem, infact, very queit in my opinion. I'm interested to hear from those that lives on Moore st or close to train lines can provide me some feedback.

I live in Moore Street and it would depend on which side you are looking at. I live on the furtherest side from the tracks and it is not a problem to me at all. The buildings on the other side on Moore street seem to stop the noise somewhat. Also, it would depend when the unit/townhouse was built, as because Moore street is without 150m from the train line a sound engineer would have been required so that the building would be very well insulated from noise. This is a BCC requirement.

To summarize, I have lived there for 4 years and nothing noise wise affects me. I love the location, so close to everything.

Hope this helps.
