What is the best area for living (socially) and within walking/bicycle distance of the Spit?

Neutral Bay is going to offer a much better buzz and proximity to the local bars and cafes, with large number of choices from The Oaks Hotel & SoCal to the more boutique establishments like Firefly and Honey Rider. Easy access to the Spit - popular cycling routes will take you back way via Bay St Beauty Point onto The Spit.

North Sydney is a great place to live, many of the suburbs offer what you are looking for.
