"Best Suburb in Perth!!"

Can't believe this suburb actually existed . . . So peaceful and quiet, yet so close to everything! Great parks, great schools, great shops. And best of all, so close to the coast. We were looking to build a house and we'd never even heard of this place before. Stumbled across it completely by accident, and now we simply couldn't be happier! Really, really nice people in the whole area too. Even the kids love it here - and keeping them happy was always going to be the biggest challenge! :)

Great for

  • Great swimming areas
  • No traffic
  • Easy access to all amenities
  • Peace and quiet
  • Plenty of shopping options
  • Proximate to Freo and Port coogee marina

Not great for

  • Looks like prices will start rising here soon as more people are moving down here.

"Average"

Munster has improved a little but at least 20 minutes to get to any amenities like shops/restaurants. Plus it's FULL of cashed up brogans! so safety is an issue.

This review is totally not a true reflection for the demographics of the suburb of Munster. Lots of hard working mums and dad families. Highly recommended

You will not find a more safer suburb in this quiet pocket of Cockburn. Please feel free to check the safety statistics of the other suburbs in cockburn further away from the coast which are classified as newer suburbs

"Moved to Munster July 2014"

We have relocated from Bull Creek. Wonderful change of lifestyle. Beach is close for the kids, Surf club is awesome. We are social members of the club and enjoy the food, restaurant atmosphere and the gym. With the supermarkets and specialty fruit and veg shops around we have found our weekly shopping bill has decreased. South Fremantle is a 10 minute drive, so going out for a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) is never a hassle. Cockburn train station is 8 minutes away by car, trips to the city are easy. The restaurants around the suburb are also awesome, we have made ourselves know at the South Coogee Cafe and Brandi's Pizza. Lots of parks to walk the dog and let the kids run free, big block of land with a nice house, sea breeze in the summer months, love the sea change, it has been a great move.

This review is genuine and very much a true reflection of the suburb. I am myself a resident of this suburb and resonate with the comments of this review.

Hey Perth 007,
We are living here too ! Which part of Munster (which street) are you looking at building . We might end up being neighbours which is good. My kids love out here and there is a huge parkland coming up in our estate. Lots of schooling options as you have mentioned already.
We love it out here. Feels very safe and peaceful . Kids love running around in the cul de sac.

Rentals in Munster

"Coastal living at its best!"

We were looking at house options around the beach and one of our friends mentioned to have a look at Munster.
Having explored in and around the place just simply fell in love with the area instantaneously.
It has a charm of its own with people greeting and saying hello at every place you go. Love the Pizza's at Brandis just around the corner. Plus there are so many good public and semi private schooling options, which worked perfect for our young family. Not to mention the proximity to Freo and port coogee beach just made my decision easier to call munster our home. Love the woodmant point reserve as well which we will be able to walk to !
We will soon be putting an offer on a block at Lake Coogee Gardens estate.

Sorry to revive an old thread but you might not be aware (as I wasn't ) that the council is looking at putting commercial units between the residents and the lake at Lake Coogee. Now that will set a precedent for all the large properties along the lake in the buffer zone to be rezoned commercial special use? Stupid I know, but there planning it, so many reasons to stop it from out right ruining our community feel, to environment, to noise, to the safety of our kids from the traffic and trucks, also Coogee rd will have to be reopened and they will have a reason to do it if the proposal goes ahead, the traffic though our nice little community will be worse the Beelier and as bad as kwinana

BTW, you can submit your rejection of the plan at www.cockburn.wa.gov.au/News/Community_Consultation/
p.s. really hard to get the web address right with upper and lower case , almost like they want to make it hard, maybe..perhaps.
