Reviews of Narwee, NSW

"Recently moved"

I have recently moved to Narwee and absolutely love it. My kids love the space and parks, there is a great community feel, quiet streets, very affordable and a slowly growing vibrant scene with some good cafes opening up. People are friendly, the local school is excellent and an emerging young hip vibe is building. Being close to the city and well connected with public transport makes Narwee all the more appealing.

Looking for a home in Narwee?

"Convenient family friendly hidden gem with so much to offer!!!"

Hidden secret tucked in between Hurstville, Beverly Hills and Riverwood. So close to many shopping centres - Roselands, Hurstville, Miranda and Bankstown. I have grown up near the area and have seen the transformation of Narwee into a pretty, quiet suburb (after the Highschool was knocked down and replaced by the new estate). To one side of the station there is a lot of convenience (and easy walk from home) in terms of 2 chinese grocery shops, laundromat, pharmacy (super friendly), dental/medical centre, vet, and beautician/hairdressers, jumbonote (music lessons for the kids), really awesome hipster cafs (Little Alley and Caf 52a), delicious lebanese pizza shop (must try!!!), authentic tasty malaysian restaurant (Tian Tian), convenient chicken shop and a bakery (that makes the best sliced bread ever at $1.80 per loaf)! The other side of the station you have the fantastic family friendly Narwee Pub that serves delicious food at its bistro (yummy $9 steak and mash & gravy) plus the added convenience of chicken shop, bakery and 7-11. The train station is so convenient to commute to the airport/city (lift access to station for disabled/prams soon under construction) as with multiple bus stops along Broadarrow Rd to commute to Hurstville/Bankstown. There are also multiple childcare centres and Narwee preschool (winner of 2015 St George business award) There is also Narwee primary school. For the kids there is so much to entertain with multiple fenced playgrounds (some with bbq facilities) and the John Mountford Tennis courts closeby. We love living here with our 4 young kids!

"This Suburb is Sydneys Best Kept Secret!!!"

Not many people know about Sydney's Narwee, yet you're only a 25-minute train ride away from the city. Once upon a time the area was home to just the elderly. Now the young are coming in with affordable house prices and super spacious homes with great, friendly neighbours. Peaceful, leafy, quiet and so central to everything, Narwee has a lot to offer.

Plus the new M5 is being built (open by 2020) which will reduce the traffic load in the current M5 East. This will significantly cut the travel time to Syd CBD or inner west.

"Hidden Suburb"

Located just 18km to downtown Sydney CBD with minutes connect through M5, easy access through M3 as well. Quite and Cosy suburb. While not many people heard about this suburb but it actually has a lot to offer. Good train service connected through Airports while not as packs with people compared with other lines during peak hour with 29mins to Central. Roseland Shopping Centre located on next suburb while varities choice of restaurants just down in Beverly hills next suburb as well. Offer good prices on grocery just down the road and less traffic. Recently, great forecast on API Oct'11

"A private small town"

Although living in Narwee is quiet and safe, there is often sounds of racing cars and neighbours with music booming. There is also a school, preschool and local shops, but overall just an average place to live in with no distinguishing features other than the fact that the houses are affordable.
