Hi Karin,
I live and work in Newport,
Newport is fantastic family friendly area to live.
There are lots of local parks and youth Sporting facilities.
Saturday lots flock to Leroy’s near the Newport park with the children and have a quick cuppa, meet the other parents.
It is a big family environment all round.
I have always felt safe around this area.

Well I can answer that by saying our policeman neighbour took this into account before selecting a suburb to live in & raise a young family. So the answer is yes - low burglary rate, etc.
