Looking to buy

Looking to buy at the West Geelong end of North Geelong, does anyone live there and if so could they tell me abit about the feel? Public Transport? Ease of travel into town? Problems? Thank you

I used to live in Saywell St back in the early 2000's, which is in that North Geelong area just across Church St and close to Geelong West. Travelling into town is absolutely simple, only takes a couple of minutes, it's a little longer coming back as you can only access that little estate via Stubbs Ave with the speed humps, or via Weddell Rd. Public transport is fine, all major bus routes run down Church St and also some in Weddell Rd, and would not really be a problem. There was a small stigma attached to the Coxon Pde housing units, but nothing out of the ordinary, and also coming on stream now is the Golf Club estate on the Thompson RD/Ballarat Rd corner too. That area is a bit pricier, but the older houses in the Stubbs/Weddell/Coxon quarter are a bit more affordable.
