I am moving to Townsville mid next year and want some advice on where to move.

I am moving to Townsville mid next year and want some advice on what suburb we should look at. We are late 20's no children, a dog, active and enjoy quiet dinners and breakfasts out. We are currently in Brisbane and looking for something similar to what we have. A queenslander close to shops, gyms, parks and quite. Close to the water would be nice too. Can anyone suggest somewhere?

He will be working at the Army Barracks and I'm hoping to transfer my job to Townsville Hospital.

Don't buy anywhere here. Rent only, property prices being low are not a "bargain". If you are forced to come here then do not buy here! If I were you rent somewhere water closer to town or you should look at how you are getting to work and how the traffic moves in the place . Traffic isn't as bad now as thousands of people have left since employment has collapsed here. You'll only know when you get here and see for yourself

Hi Ali, Thanks for getting back to me. We ended up getting a place in Bohle Plains which is a little out of the way but fine for us because work is only a 10 minute drive and its a nice little estate at Kalynda Chase. We had a look at buying house and land but after further discussion we realised that if we arent planning on living in it for 10+ years then its probably not a good decision and we shouldnt be sucked in by the $350K price tag. Thanks again!

Hi Ali, we rented in North Ward 9 years ago and always dream of coming back. Why do you say not to buy? Is property hard to sell off? Or hard to rent out? Interested in hearing more about your thoughts.

Ali is a troll tanya, not matter what you say will convince them otherwise, not worth the effort. Sad individual who keeps spouting the same outdated/false information.
