How busy is Northgate Road? Is it noisy?

Northgate Road carries mainly local traffic. The busiest section runs between the train line and Ridge Street with the next busiest section being between Ridge Street and the Flower Street roundabout. 20 years ago Northgate Road was a main thoroughfare for trucks and traffic looking for a shortcut through to Toombul Road. Nowadays the larger vehicles use Sandgate Road and Nudgee Road.
