I have lived there for 14 years. Its great for families. lots of space.

Richard Johnson Anglican School were my son attends is a great school and there is a great community spirit. Only a few km from Rooty Hill RSL for a bit of entertainment.

The only let downs for me is restaurants (i lived in Randwick for 10 years before coming to Oakhurst) There are none, except for clubs and chains and some grotty Chinese ones in Rooty Hill.

There is great community spirit at the many sporting clubs in the area. My son plays soccer for Plumpton Oakhurst Soccer Club and we have made so many friends at the club that my husband has decided to play over 35s this year with a group of Dads.

There are a couple of retirement villages in the area with easy access to the shopping centre etc. so it is a good low cost option for those wishing to retire in Sydney to stay close to the Grandchildren.
