Pile Street, Marrickville, NSW 2204

Very quiet street with good neighbours. Because its in the middle of a lot of choices, its a great position. 4 choices of transport - bus to city at end of street, light rail from Dulwich Hill, walk to Petersham station or walk to Marrickville station. Three shopping centres at Petersham, Dulwich Hill and Marrickville. Great oval and park and croquet on the same block !

I lived in this street on my own in a small unit for several years and I liked it. I never had any security problems but some of the neighbours were a bit odd! I was young and single so I wasn't really trying to be part of a community - it's not the sort of street i'd particularly recommend to a young family. It is a nice, wide street with some unit blocks as well as some nice, old Federation-style homes. It isn't a very busy street, which is good. Marrickville Park is quite close as are the restaurants of Marrickville and Dulwich Hill. It's a fair walk to the railway station.
I think this street would be a good real-estate investment and rentals would be snapped up quickly. In about seven years I got nearly two-and-a-half times what I paid for my unit.
